entri ini dibuat khas untuk puan shikin ibrahim dan puan juliza sabri. puan shikin untuk menyuntik semangat menyusu secara ekslusif untuk bayi keduanya selepas kelahiran yang dijangka pada bulan jun ini. manakala puan juliza yang memulakan kerja minggu ini (sangat poyo konon2 nak mengajar juli. padhal dia duk umah jaga anak dia smpi 5 bulan dan berjaya menyusu secara ekslusif bukan macam penulis ini tapi gedik nak dedicate entry ini untuk juli jugak).
saya ada 2 beg susu iaitu 1 untuk di bawa iskandar ke babysitter and another for myself to carry to work. so today we are going to take a peep into my nursing bag.

saya punya beg mengandungi perkara berikut:
pump & its equipment (adapter, valve & etc)
cooler bag
4 empty bottles
1 ice pack
pill sterilizer as back up
energizer battery C as back up
i would normally pump at the office twice during noon (before zohor/lunch) and evening (before asar). however through my understanding, other mothers would normally conduct their session around 11am and 3 pm. my body rarely produce 5oz on single side, hence the need for me to change the bottle while pumping is a very slim occurrence and 4 bottles are sufficient for the 2 sessions.
i keep the sterilized funnel (breastshield) and bottle inside the cooler bag (picture above). the ice pack would be transferred into the freezer once i reached the office. the milk will be kept in the fridge and transferred to the cooler bag after my evening pumping session (picture below).
the bag below is how i carry the milk everyday. i don't have the fashionable insulated bag (city style bag or such). teringin jugak bag lawa-lawa tu, bak kate puan farah farhan - baju purple bawak beg purple, kalu baju pink bawak beg pink, etc. tapi ukur duit di badan sendiri la yer. kalau mampu nape tidak? sometimes the pump comes with the bag and the additional equipment at additional price. the thrift person inside me refuse to spend more than what i could afford =p
total cost of milk carriage:
cooler bag (RM 19.90 from carefour)
ice pack (RM 19.90 from jusco with 20% discount)
bag (bought it more than 7 years ago as swim bag,
so i can't recall the price tag)
further, when i reached home i would nurse my baby while pumping. so that is how i manage my pumping schedule =)
